Former Arsenal boss, Unai Emery reportedly stopped Gunners from selling starlet Reiss Nelson and instead chose to get rid of Super Eagles’ star Alex Iwobi last summer.
Nelson has made 13 appearances for Arsenal this season and he continues to flourish under new manager Mikel Arteta.
Iwobi joined Everton in a £35million deal on deadline day last August and that move came about after ex-Gunners’ boss Emery wanted to keep hold of the England youth star, according to The Athletic.
Crystal Palace were reportedly keen on acquiring the services of Nelson for £20m during the summer transfer window.
Nelson has featured in Gunners' last five games and scored the winning goal in their FA Cup third-round victory over Leeds on Monday night.

The 20-year-old winger's other goal for the first team this season came in Arsenal's Carabao Cup 5-0 win over Nottingham Forest.
