Rohr To Drop Musa For Benin, Lesotho AFCON Qualifiers Clash

Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr is set to drop Ahmed Musa from the list of players that will be invited for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin and Lesotho.

The duo of former Nigerian stars, Duke Udi and Tarila Okorowanta’ have called on the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and Rohr saying that the invitation of players must be based on current form and that Musa has been without a club since leaving Saudi club, Al Nassr in October 2020.

Musa was on the verge of joining West Brom during the 2021 Winter transfer window, only for the deal to collapse at the end.

However, speaking during an interview on, Udi stated that only the best players must be invited by Rohr.

“We are inviting players now on current form,” Duke Udi said.

Also, Okorowanta urged the German tactician not to invite Musa for the 2021 AFCON because he’s clubless.
