Six Man United Players to miss Brighton Game

Manchester United will be without six first-team players for this weekend’s Premier League outing at Brighton & Hove Albion.

United picked earned a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Leicester City during the season opener on August 10 but the start has been far from ideal with a number of regular starters on the sidelines.

According to a report on United’s official website, Mourinho confirmed there is no positive news on the injury front and the team may possibly remain the same from the previous campaign barring Jesse Lingard, who is expected to make the trip after building up his fitness.

Sergio Romero, Diogo Dalot [both knee];Nemanja Matic [abdominal] as well as Marcos Rojo [knock] are among the players, who have played no part since the start of pre-season while Antonio Valencia [calf] and Ander Herrera [hamstring] became casualties during the friendlies leading up to the new campaign.

Man Utd were not fluent by any means during the curtain raiser against the Foxes but the performance ought to be much better at Brighton with quite a few of the World Cup-based players expected to start from the off.

Romelu Lukaku, especially, only made a cameo appearance versus the Foxes, where he was culpable of missing a clear-cut scoring opportunity, but Lukaku should lead the line after Marcus Rashford struggled to impress.
