Super Eagles midfielder, Ogenyi Onazi is set to be on the sidelines for at least two weeks following the injury he sustained when Denizlispor clashed with Sivasspor earlier this week.
A small tear was found in the posterior muscle during medical examinations following the injury Onazi suffered in Monday’s 1-0 defeat to Sivasspor.
The former Trabzonspor midfielder, who came off the substitutes’ bench in the 46th minute of action at the Yeni Sivas 4 Eylul Stadium, was himself replaced 13 minutes later as a result of the injury.
Turkish sports website, fanatik.com has issued a report that the Denizlispor medics have advised The 27-year-old to stay away from action for between two and three weeks.
“It was reported that Ogenyi Onazi of Yukenel Denizlispor will stay away from the field for 2-3 weeks due to the injury of the Nigerian football player in the Sivasspor match.
“In the statement made by the green-black club, it was stated that a small rupture was detected in the back muscle of Onazi’s MR and the treatment of the 27-year-old player has started.”

So far during the 2019/20 season, the Super Eagles star has played ten games in all competitions with eight in the colours of Denizlispor whom he joined in the January transfer window.
