Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has told Liverpool rival, Jurgen Klopp, his strikers are no longer the most feared in English football.
But all three of Klopp’s celebrated trio of Sadio Mane, Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino have failed to hit the same heights this season.
The Red Devils have overtaken their bitter-rivals in the title race to charge to the top of the table ahead of Sunday’s/tomorrow’s FA Cup showdown at Old Trafford.
Solskjaer has warned the Merseysiders that the Old Trafford side will go on the attack – and insists he wouldn’t swap the likes of Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Edinson Cavani and Mason Greenwood for anyone else.
The United boss said: “I’m very happy with my forwards. You’ve got talents like Marcus, Mason and Anthony along with the experience of Edinson.
“It’s great to see them every day in training and in the games they complement each other. They’ve all got different attributes.
“This season Marcus has scored 14 goals and Anthony, Mason and Edinson will definitely chip in and score goals as well.
“Last season Mason, Marcus and Anthony scored I don’t know how many – 60ish? We’ve got those three for many, many years to come and Edinson can help with his experience for the time that he’s here.
“It’s always been in the DNA of United that we do attack quickly. We do go fast. We have quick and fast players who can get up the pitch quickly.
“I think with the four front men we’ve got, we’ve got players there to choose from who can get us goals from any game against any opposition.”
