New players in the Super Falcons squad
Nigeria unveiled a formidable squad of 22 players for the upcoming Paris 2024 Women Olympic Football Tournament qualification matches against Ethiopia.
The squad includes star players such as goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, defender Osinachi Ohale, and forward Asisat Oshoala.
However, Opeyemi Ajakaiye and Comfort Folorunsho, who showcased their skills during the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, earned their first-ever call-up to the Super Falcons squad.
Super Falcons training schedule and kick-off time
The Super Falcons will have their first training session ahead of the game at the Abebe Bekila Stadium, Addis Ababa, on Tuesday night.
The match is scheduled to kick-off at 1:30 pm Nigeria time on Wednesday afternoon.
Randy Waldrum will look to guide the Falcons to a decent result in Addis Ababa before the second leg.
MKO Abiola National Stadium in Abuja on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 will host the return leg of this all-important game.
The aggregate winner will progress to face the winner of the Cameroon/Uganda tie in the third round of the Olympic qualifiers.
