Manchester United recently beat Everton 3-1 on Saturday, with Bruno Fernandes scoring twice and Edinson Cavani finding the net to secure all three points.
However, they still remain 16th in the table after just seven Premier League matches.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is under pressure at Old Trafford as a result, with links to the likes of Mauricio Pochettino, Julian Nagelsmann and Massimiliano Allegri all starting to intensify.
But according to the Daily Mail, the Norwegian retains the backing and support of his players, who view him as a ‘likeable’ character.
However, they reportedly feel the Glazers would be right to hire a technical director to help the club improve further.
And there are said to be doubts as to whether Solskjaer has the ability to turn things around, especially with the spectres of Pochettino, Nagelsmann and Allegri looming large.
United believe they don’t currently need a technical director, with the club happy with the way their recruitment has gone since Solskjaer took over at Old Trafford.
United feel they’ve got a squad capable of competing with the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea for the Premier League title.
And whether Solskjaer can turn things around remains to be seen.
