Barcelona have reportedly made contact with Cristiano Ronaldo with the Nou Camp side eyeing a stunning move in the summer transfer window.
Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid have all been linked with moves for the Portuguese superstar, but a shocking new contender has now emerged.
That contender is Barcelona, but despite the animosity between Barca and Madrid, AS report that the Catalan club are sizing up a move for Ronaldo.
According to the report, club president Joan Laporta has already contacted Ronaldo over a move to the Nou Camp.
While it is stated that the 36-year-old is yet to respond to Laporta, the Barca chief ‘dreams’ of seeing Ronaldo line up alongside Lionel Messi.
A new contract for Messi is said to be “practically tied up”, with Laporta now turning his attention to adding a second superstar to Ronald Koeman’s squad.
Ronaldo’s thoughts on such a move are unknown, with his agent Jorge Mendes yet to be brought into the discussions.
