Wage Breakdown Of Aubameyang Three-Year Deal At Arsenal

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is set to become Arsenal’s highest earner, which will see him overtake £350,000-a-week man Mesut Ozil.

Success in the FA Cup and Community Shield has led to speculation the Gabon international will sign on again to keep him in north London for three years.

And the Athletic have revealed that manager Mikel Arteta has been “instrumental” in talks, with the 31-year-old and a manager having a “tremendous mutual respect” for each other.

Arteta was already confident of the club captain’s deal at the time, telling BT Sport last month: “We are trying to convince him he’s in the right place and the right environment to produce what he did here and four weeks ago [in the FA Cup final win over Chelsea].

“I’m very positive he’s going to sign but there are a lot of things involved in a contract deal and we are trying to solve them.
