Maduka Okoye has assured that the unavailability of UK-based Super Eagles players when they clash with Cape Verde on Tuesday.
The Super Eagles shots-topper gave the assurance while ahead of the game.
He acknowledged that the team will miss the players, but he’s optimistic about their chances of winning.
“We will miss them (the absentee players), but we have a big team and the other players can do the same.
“We will prepare as a team very well, it will be a good match against a good opponent in Cape Verde,” Okoye said.
Gernot Rohr will be without the services of Friday's match-winner, Kelechi Iheanacho as well as his Leicester City teammate, Wilfred Ndidi.
Other players include Alex Iwobi, Leon Balogun, William Ekong, Oghenekaro Etebo, and Joe Aribo.
The UK-based are not permitted to travel to Cape Verde, due to the Covid-19 restrictions from the Premier League and should be on their way back to their respective club sides latest by Monday.
