French centre-back William Saliba has found himself with some extra unexpected time on his hands as the coronavirus pandemic sweeps the world.
Many players have taken to social media to share their fitness routines and take part in challenges during the downtime, and Saliba is no different.
The 19-year-old has joined the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo in taking part in the Nike Living Room Cup, where professional athletes complete weekly fitness challenges.
The video posted on Saliba’s Instagram account shows him doing crunches, with him completing 65 in 45 seconds.
In the comments, Saint-Etienne teammate points out “Wilo (Saliba), Cristiano and Messi the world top 3.”
Despite his reduced game time this season, Saliba has still impressed for Saint Etienne, playing 17 games in all competitions during the campaign.
The defender will arrive at the Emirates Stadium in the summer after spending the 2019/20 season on loan at former club Saint Etienne.
Saliba signed for Arsenal last summer in a deal worth around £27 million, but he went straight back to his former club Saint-Etienne on a season-long loan.
