Arsenal’s rick against Crystal Palace was toned down after Chelsea was unable to beat Burnley on Monday night.
That was an unexpected bonus for Unai Emery and his quest for a top-four finish, but the game against Wolves tonight is a must-win.
Three points would put the Gunners back into the top-four with three games left and the good news is that Wolves’ form has taken a big dip since they were knocked out of the FA Cup semi-final by Watford on penalties.
With Manchester United hosting Manchester City at Old Trafford this evening and the Blues just one point above Arsenal with one game less to play, a victory tonight will be crucial in trying to secure a top-four finish.
The Gooners could be taking on Wolves at a good time as they haven’t won since losing their FA Cup semi-final with Watford with Nuno Espirito Santo’s side losing to Southampton and being held at home by Brighton in their last two matches.
Wolves have never beaten Arsenal in the Premier League in nine previous attempts, the most they have faced an opponent in the competition without victory.
