Yakubu Ayegbeni Heaps Praise On Everton’s Richarlison

Former Super Eagles striker, Yakubu Ayegbeni, who just bought his wife an SUV Range Rover, has claimed that Everton's high-flying attacker Richarlison will be a ‘top striker'.

The Toffees bought the 21-year-old from Watford for £50 million in the summer, with some supporters questioning the sizeable fee paid for Richarlison.

Under Marco Silva at Vicarage Road, prior to his sacking, the Brazilian went on to score only five goals in his debut season in England top-flight.

With Silva bringing the highly-rated youngster to Goodison Park, he has already exceeded that mark scoring eight goals in his first 16 appearances for the Merseyside club.

The Former Premier League striker offered nothing but praise for Richarlison as he made a number of bold claims about his future.

“Richarlison is smart and clever,” Ayegbeni told Everton's official website.

During his career in England's top-flight, Ayegbeni represented a number of clubs including Everton, Middlesbrough and Portsmouth – he was five shy of hitting the 100 goal mark in the Premier League.

Everton are now eighth in the Premier League table, two points off sixth-placed Man United, but dropped points at the weekend could potentially see them fall into the bottom half.

Silva's men welcome third-placed Tottenham Hotspur to Goodison Park on Sunday before a busy Christmas schedule will see them travel to Burnley and Brighton.
