Former Nigerian striker, Victor Ikpeba believes the Super Eagles attack will be too hot for the Central Africa Republic (CAR) to handle in next month's 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Ikpeba stated this in an interview with Goalballlive, where he said that the duo of Victor Osimhen and Paul Onuachu will make life difficult for CAR going by their goal scoring exploits in Europe.
Recall that Nigeria are top of Group C with six points having defeated Liberia and Cape Verde respectively last month.
The team will host CAR at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos on Thursday, 7th October, while the reverse fixture with be played four days later in Douala, Cameroon (presently the ‘home’ of Central African Republic national teams).
“It will be tough task for CAR to be able to silence Super Eagles duo of Osimhen and Onuachu. These guys are really firing from all cylinders in Europe and I see no reason why they won't continue with their rich vein of goal scoring form.
“No doubt, they will be hot to handle and I expect the Super Eagles to pick the maximum points. Victory all the way in both legs.”
