The Black Stars of Ghana hosted Liberia in an international friendly at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday evening.

Buoyed by their AFCON ticket gain a few days ago, Chris Hughton's side were high in confidence as they took on Liberia.

After a cagey first-half that surprisingly ended goalless, the floodgates opened in the second half as Nuamah, Kudus and Ayew netted to fire Ghana into a 3-0 lead and a consolation goal from Liberia ensuring the match ended 3-1.

Let's delve into how the goals came in the second half!

Black Stars ran riot in the second half

Despite Black Stars' first half dominance, the goals weren't forthcoming but the second half followed a different path.

Seven minutes into the second half, Nicholas Opoku found Ernest Nuamah who made no mistakes to open the scoring for Ghana.

While Ansumana Keita's side were trying to recover, Kudus doubled the lead after a beautiful cross from Ernest Nuamah in the 60th minute.

Ghana continued to dominate with Chris Hughton taking off Mohammed Kudus and Antoine Semenyo for Andre Ayew and Ransford Yeboah in the 74th minute.

The match was still going to bring more excitement for the fans with barely 10 minutes left!

Jordan Ayew, who had earlier replaced Nuamah, made it three for the Black Stars with eight minutes left to play, to all but put the result beyond reasonable doubt.

The Black Stars kept on the ball to see out the game as time began to run out, however, the visitors got a consolation goal in added time to ensure they left the Accra Sports Stadium with something to cheer about.
