Raheem Sterling has emerged the most valuable Manchester City player rated at a cool £185million!
Paris Saint-Germain flyer Kylian Mbappe and Liverpool star Mohamed Salah are the only two above him in a new ranking of Europe’s most expensive footballers.
City boast ten of the top 100 in the continent’s top five leagues, with their most attractive players worth over £1billion on the transfer market.
The figures have been produced by the CIES Football Observatory, which claims to scientifically assess a player’s transfer worth based on such factors as age, length of contract, position, minutes on the pitch and club factors.
Sterling is billed as City’s most valuable player, having shot up from the £138million tag he was given last summer.
Ahead of him, Salah is said to be worth £195million while Mbappe is the only player to top the £200million mark, tagged at £224million.
City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne was last year given a price tag of £149million but is now slated at just £60million, just a few million more than the price for which the club bought him three years ago.
Next in line for City are Sane and Bernardo, both priced around £122million, they are ranked at ten and 11 on the list respectively.
Gabriel Jesus has a valuation of £116million, way ahead of the £72million price tag placed on Sergio Aguero, who has kept him out of the City team for most of the season.
Stones can take comfort from the fact he is billed as a £75million defender.
His partner Aymeric Laporte is billed at £92million, making him the second most valuable defender in Europe, behind Liverpool’s PFA player of the year Virgil Van Dijk, said to be worth £100million.
Goalkeeper Ederson comes in at £92million, with only Alisson ahead of him, at £96million.
Kyle Walker is valued at £66million.
