A lot has been ongoing between Napoli and Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen over the past few days and it appears things keep getting worse.

What happened between Victor Osimhen and Napoli?

Victor Osimhen's week started with a public outburst with Napoli manager Rudi Garcia after he was subbed off in the goalless draw with Bologna in on Sunday. Aftermath of that incident, the club decided not to take action as things were sorted behind closed doors.

Unfortunately, another incident came up after a video was posted on the club's official TikTok account, mocking the striker for missing a penalty against Bologna. In the background, a high-pitched voice screamed “gimme penalty please”.

Apart from that, another second video was also posted, seemingly comparing the striker to a coconut. Although the clips have been deleted, the issue keeps getting bigger.

In his first reaction to everything that has happened, Osimhen has deleted almost every image of himself playing for Napoli. He also went ahead to snub his teammates while arriving for the game against Udinese in the Serie A.

Osimhen delivered 31 goals in all competitions last season but it appears his time in Naples might be coming to an end.

Let’s look at five potential destinations for the Napoli sensation if he decides to leave next summer.

5 clubs who could benefit from Osimhen’s fallout with Napoli

Chelsea

Chelsea are looking out of shape at the moment and they desperately need a new striker. Victor Osimhen has valuable experience playing in two of Europe's top five leagues and that could solve the goalscoring problems in Chelsea's attack.

With the likes of Reece James, Ben Chilwell, and Enzo Fernandez creating the chances, Osimhen, who is a much better finisher than Nicolas Jackson, will score a lot of goals in London.

Manchester United

Manchester United have always relied on Marcus Rashford for goals and he is not a proper striker like Victor Osimhen. The likes of Antony Martial and Rasmus Hojlund don't have his skillset and he can come in to help the Red Devils solve their goal scoring problems.

Erik ten Hag's side have been bereft of ideas in some games this season and the zeal and passion of Osimhen in attack can improve their play and make them better.

Arsenal

Mikel Arteta has done a great job at Arsenal so far but his team still lacks the cutting edge in some tight games. Victor Osimhen might just be the answer to the problems in that centre forward role.

The Nigerian forward can operate similarly to how City utilises Haaland with his size and scoring ability. The only issue might be the price but he's definitely worth it if they can get their hands on him.

Real Madrid

Karim Benzema was Madrid's go-to-man in the last few years of his time there. However, he moved to Saudi Arabia and Madrid only managed to get Joselu in as his replacement in the short term and Vinicius hasn't been himself yet.

There aren’t many players that fit the mould more than Victor Osimhen: big, strong, and can support Vinicius Jr. well. However, the ultimate player they have their eyes on is Kylian Mbappe but he still can't function in the centre forward role like the Nigerian.

Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham might be an unlikely destination for Osimhen but don't rule them out from benefiting from the situation in Naples. Star forward Harry Kane left for Bayern Munich in the summer and there's particularly no clinical forward on the team's roster at the moment.

Therefore, Victor Osimhen can be a fresh breeze to this offense and be the face of the new look Tottenham. Osimhen is as much of a world-class striker as Harry Kane is, but he is way younger at only 24 years old.
