Cristiano Ronaldo's mum Dolores Aveiro has revealed where she wants her son to end his career when his time is up at Manchester United.
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner has started life back in Manchester, scoring four times in his opening three matches.
For many fans, the realisation that their prodigal son has returned home is yet to sink in but Ronaldo's mum, Dolores Aveiro, is already looking ahead to the day her son leaves Old Trafford.
The hope for her is that the Portuguese legend returns to boyhood club Sporting Lisbon where she remains a huge fan.
“Ronaldo has to come back here,” Aveiro said on the club's YouTube channel. “If it were my choice, he would already be here.
“He likes to watch Sporting games. I've already told him: ‘Son, before I die, I want to see you return to Sporting'. He says ‘let's see'.”
She then joked: “Today the number seven jersey [at Sporting Lisbon] is Tabata, but when Ronaldo comes it will be his!”
