Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek has been ruled out of the Netherlands squad for Euro 2020 through injury.
It's yet another blow for the Dutch international whose game time has been scarce at United since sealing a £40million move last summer.
A statement from the team's official website read:
“Donny van de Beek misses EURO 2020. Van de Beek has to let the European Championship pass by.
“The midfielder is struggling with an injury. As a result, he is not available in time for EURO 2020.
“Frank de Boer will not call a replacement for Van de Beek. Get well soon, Donny!”
The news comes just one day after the former Ajax midfielder was spotted training separately from the main group, with Matthijs de Ligt – who is also carrying an injury.

Van de Beek, 24, was not included in the Netherlands squad for their pre-tournament friendly against Georgia on Sunday but was named on the bench in the 2-2 draw with Scotland before that.
