Former Kwara United coach, Samson Unuanel has lauded the appointment of former Super Eagles midfielder, Finidi George as Enyimba coach.
Recall that on Wednesday, unveiled Finidi after agreeing a two-year contract with the Aba side.
He replaces Fatai Osho whose contract expired at the end of August.
The eight-time Nigerian champions finished second in the 2020/2021 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
Reacting to the development, Unuanel in an interview with Goalballlive stated that Finidi's appointment will help improve Enyimba, most especially in the CAF Champions League.
“I must commend Finidi George for accepting to coach a team in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL). Managing a club like Enyimba will help him utilise the wealth of experience he has garner to take the team to a different level.
“This will definitely come handy in the CAF Champions League. I must say this is a good step in the right direction for Finidi. For sure, all eyes will be on him.”
