The Shocking Early Exits
Senegal
Senegal was paired in Group C with Colombia, Israel and Japan. The African U-20 Champions came to Argentina on the back of six straight wins, with expectations sky-high. Unfortunately, Malik Daf's side disappointedly crashed out in the group stage, recording two draws and one loss. They finished bottom of Group C with two points, becoming the only African side that didn't advance into the Round of 16.
France
The Euro U-19 semi-finalists were paired in Group F with Gambia, South Korea and Honduras. However, Les Bleuets, who had exciting players, couldn't live up to expectations. They lost twice and won one, which wasn't enough to finish as one of the four third-placed teams. It was a tournament to forget for the French side.
