Five Liverpool Players Who Must Go For Erling Haaland Transfer

Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland would command a club record fee if Liverpool do attempt to sign him when the summer transfer window opens.

And so departures from Anfield is inevitable to raise funds.

Dortmund are believed to have put a price tag in the region of £150million on Haaland.

A sizeable number of Jurgen Klopp’s back-ups have failed to impress when handed opportunities to play this season, making them prime candidates for an exit.

Here are five players who could be sold by Liverpool to raise funds for a big money move for Haaland.

Ben Davies

The decision to bring in Ben Davies from Preston in January has not paid off, with the defender still yet to make his debut for the Reds.

And though transfermarkt state his value at just £2.70m, the Reds could make a tidy profit if they sell him.

Naby Keita

Though Keita has not lived up to his potential at Liverpool, his quality is obvious, with transfermarkt valuing him at £34m.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has largely impressed at Liverpool since joining from Arsenal.

But with Klopp set to restructure his midfield this summer, Oxlade-Chamberlain appears to be a clear candidate for an exit, with transfermarkt currently valuing him at £18m.

Divock Origi

In spite of his terrible scoring record, transfermarkt still believe the Reds could bring in at least £14m by selling the Belgian.

Roberto Firmino

Perhaps a surprising name on this list given his importance to Liverpool’s success under Klopp, it is hard to see a place for Roberto Firmino at Liverpool if they did sign Haaland.

That makes the Brazilian an obvious asset to sell, with transfermarkt’s valuation of close to £50m meaning a sale could bring in the bulk of the funds needed to buy Haaland.
