Former Nigerian Midfielder Reveals His Stance On Call For Saka’s Super Eagles Invitation

Former Nigerian midfielder, Henry Nwosu has kicked against call by some football enthusiasts for the inclusion of Arsenal winger, Bukola Saka to the Super Eagles.

Saka, who has become a revelation for the Gunners this ongoing season under manager, Mikel Arteta, has been lauded by football pundits in the Premier League for his excellent exploits.

The England youth international played all 90 minutes in Arsenal's 2-0 victory over Portsmouth in Monday's FA Cup.

Reacting to Saka's performance and call for his inclusion to the senior national team, the 1980 Africa Cup of Nations winner, told Goalballlive.com that the youngster should begin with the Flying Eagles before progressing to the Super Eagles.

“I think the call for Saka's inclusion to the Super Eagles should not be a big issue. The truth is, it is the decision of the Super Eagles technical adviser, Gernot Rohr, that will determine whether he needs him or not,” Nwosu told Goalballlive.com.

“Saka is a good play and I am delighted that he is gaining more playing time under Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta.

”He's young and hungry for success as exhibited in some of the matches he has played for the Gunners.

”However, I don't think we should rush the young man into the Super Eagles all because he is playing fine at Arsenal.

“As I told you earlier, let us leave Rohr to determine whether he needs Saka or not. But then, I will suggest he start with the Flying Eagles or Dream Team Eagles.”
