Alex Iwobi was unable to play for Nigeria during the September 2023 international break for Nigeria due to an injury, but he will be available to play in the Fulham vs Luton Town game.
Fulham manager Marco Silva made this known in the pre-match press conference on Thursday as they prepare to welcome Luton Town to Craven Cottage. Iwobi joined the London side from Everton on transfer deadline day for £22 million but had been dealing with injuries which he recovered from during the international break.
Nigeria Super Eagles fans will be paying attention to how Silva uses Alex Iwobi.

Fulham vs Luton Town preview and team news
Alex Iwobi being fit is the biggest team news ahead of Fulham vs Luton Town. The Cottagers fans will also be excited about midfielder João Palhinha signing a new deal after almost joining Bayern Munich over the summer.
Palhinha did not play in their last game before the international break due to the Bayern move which eventually fell through. He and Iwobi will now be options for Marco Silva to choose from in their game against Luton Town.
Saša Lukić and Tom Cairney are both out of the running to feature due to knee injuries, however, leaving Silva short in midfield despite Palhinha and Alex Iwobi returning to the team. Regardless, it will be a match for the Portuguese football manager to redeem himself this season as Fulham’s poor start to the season has put him under scrutiny.

Silva has not had the best luck managing teams in England’s top flight but he was able to find some stability at Fulham. The poor start to the 2023/24 season has put him on shaky ground once again. Fulham vs Luton Town has to come good for the man.
It also has to come good for Alex Iwobi, who has a lot of competition to deal with at the London club. Fulham and Luton have both not had the best start to the season so being able to get a start or a substitute’s appearance while contributing meaningfully could help Iwobi’s stock rise significantly.
Fulham fans will not be too worried about Luton Town, however, whose last victory away from home in top-flight football was 32 years ago, against Aston Villa.

Fulham vs Luton Town prediction
For Nigeria national football team fans, Alex Iwobi's participation in the Fulham vs Luton Town game is probably more important than the result.
They will also be paying attention to Elijah Adebayo and hope that Fred Onyedinma gets a run in the team.
For Fulham or Luton Town fans, however, a win for their teams is absolutely necessary or they risk being early contenders for the upcoming relegation battle.
Fulham being at home presents them with an advantage thanks to Luton Town's poor away record. This is why we at Goalball Live expect them to take the win.
Luton will get on the scoresheet, however.
Fulham 3 – 1 Luton Town
