Pep Guardiola has revealed what he told Zinedine Zidane in private following Manchester City's Champions League victory over Real Madrid.
Both legends were spotted talking on the Etihad touchline after Manchester City advanced to the quarter-finals of the competition.
There was a lot of interest as to what was said between the bosses has revealed all.
Guardiola said: ‘’I congratulated him for LaLiga. I always said to win the league is the most difficult title because it shows 11 months being there.
‘'We spoke about our families and I wished him all the best. He was one of my idols when I was a player.
‘’I played against him in the national team with France and I suffered a lot.
‘’He was one of the greatest and as a human being he is an example and I like how he can represent our profession like he does.'’
The talk took place after goals from Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus dumped Real Madrid out of the tournament, securing a 4-2 win on aggregate.
Manchester City move on to face Lyon in the quarter-finals after the French side surprisingly knocked out one of the tournament's favourites Juventus on away goals.

Meanwhile remarkably for Zidane, it is the first time he has been knocked out of the competition as a manager having previously won it three times on the bounce.
