Henderson Leads Fight For Players Against European Super League

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has called an emergency meeting of the Premier League captains to discuss a response to the ‘European Super League’, according to reports.

Henderson wants to lead the fight from the players point of view against the European Super League.

The Liverpool captain was instrumental in leading the #PlayersTogether scheme this time last year in support of the NHS in the fight against the coronavirus crisis.

Henderson rounded up all 20 Premier League captains together via Zoom to organise the initiative which involved players donating a percentage of their salaries to the NHS Charities Together group.

Now the England international is at it again, as he looks to lead the fight against the European Super League.

His Liverpool team-mate James Milner revealed last night after the 1-1 draw with Leeds that the squad found out about the ESL at the same time as everyone else.

Not only that but the veteran and manager Jurgen Klopp made it clear they were against the money-making breakaway.
