Mamelodi Sundowns have been a dominant force in both their domestic league, the Premier Soccer League, and Africa's most elite club competition, the CAF Champions League in the last 10 years.

The club's astonishing place in South Africa and continental football is a testament of its success over the years from dedicated players who played as a unit for the good of the team.
Masandawana have won 13 PSL titles since its inception in 1996 and 1 CAF Champions League trophy which they won in 2016.
The club's position atop the African power rankings for 2023 is largely down to their brilliant start to the 2023/24 season, winning all of their first eight league matches and conceding just three times in that stretch.

However, the most prolific of them all is no other than attacking midfielder Themba Zwane who has currently scored 17 goals for Mamelodi Sundowns in the CAF Champions League.
While Zwane is the club's top poacher in the Champions League, living legend Mudau holds the all-time goal record for Masandawana with 155 goals in 351 appearances, which is the record to beat.
