Man Utd Captain Harry Maguire Gives Opinion On Jadon Sancho

Jadon Sancho will become a Manchester United player later this month and his new captain Harry Maguire has spoken about him.

Maguire has described the winger as an ‘exceptional talent' after United paid Borussia Dortmund £72.9million for Sancho.

The 21-year-old is due to complete his move after the European Championship.

Sancho has only been restricted to six minutes at the Euros and was omitted from the matchday squad for the opening game against Croatia, but the England international is said to be in contention to start against Ukraine in England's quarter-final in Rome.

The United captain stressed Sancho has to be patient in a squad teeming with attacking talent.

“Jadon’s a top player,” Maguire said. “He has exceptional talent even though he is still really young, although he has played so many games.

“We’ve got some exceptional talent in his position in this England team, so Jadon will bide his time, be patient and be ready when his opportunity comes.

“I’ve been really impressed with the way he has been working in training. He’s really putting a shift in day in day out.

“He has some great talent. He is scoring goals in the five-a-sides and so on. He’s a great lad.”
