Super Eagles former skipper, Mikel Obi, has been presented as captain of his new club Kuwait Sports Club.
The 34-year-old midfielder was unveiled during the week after signing a year’s deal with Kuwait SC after he mutually terminated his contract with English Championship side Stoke City.
This will be the second time Mikel will be plating in Asia, having played for Chinese Super League club Tianjin Jinmen Tiger between 2017-2019.
His new club have also signed former West Brom and Anderlecht striker Dieumerci Mbokani.
Mikel hopes to help the club win back the Kuwait Premier League title they lost to Al-Arabi SC last season.
He has already started training with his new teammates ahead of the new season which begins next month.

Mikel was handed the number 12 jersey, which he wore throughout his time at Chelsea.
