Three Nigerians in one Bundesliga game
Eintracht Frankfurt beat Hamburger SV 3-1 on Sunday. Three Nigerian players were on the pitch.
Onyedika scored his first goal of the season. He played all 90 minutes for Frankfurt.
For Hamburger SV the goal came from Moffi, who has now scored against Frankfurt twice in five days, in the DFB Pokal at home and again on Sunday. Both games finished 3-1 to the same side. Those two goals took his season total to three.
Jordan Torunarigha played every minute for the losing side. He has one cap for Nigeria.
Osimhen scores again as Iheanacho's run ends
Osimhen scored at Konyaspor, where Galatasaray won 4-0. He was taken off after 61 minutes. Osimhen now has four goals in his last three games for Galatasaray, one at Lille in the Champions League, two against Fenerbahçe five days later and one more at Konyaspor on Friday, and he has ten this season in all competitions.
Chidozie Awaziem played all 90 for Konyaspor. He had scored twice five days earlier. “I scored two goals, but I scored those two goals thanks to my teammates,” he told Pusulahaber, in remarks carried by Complete Sports.
Iheanacho's run of scoring in every game for Bursaspor in the Turkish second division ended on Saturday, when Bursaspor won 3-0 at home against Bandırmaspor, with Halil Akbunar scoring once and Lynford Sackey Baker twice. Iheanacho's minutes are not reported. Before then he had scored in each of his first 12 league games, finishing them with 16 goals and three assists, and no other Nigerian we track has more than ten. Awoniyi scored in Coventry City's 3-1 win over Sunderland on 31 October.
Gift Orban is on loan from Hoffenheim. He repeated what he did at Samsunspor the previous weekend, with a goal and an assist. Orban has nine goals and four assists.
Umar Sadiq came on at Elche. He scored the only goal of Valencia's 1-0 win in the 29 minutes he played. It was his first appearance since 30 August.
Philip Otele scored in Basel's 2-1 defeat at Lugano. Josh Maja scored in Le Havre's 5-1 loss to Paris Saint-Germain on Friday, and Moses Simon set up a goal in Paris FC's 3-1 win over Monaco.
