Noko Alice Matlou is a South African women’s footballer who plays as a defender for Spanish Primera Federación side SD Eibar. She was born on 30 September 1985 in Polokwane, South Africa.
She has represented the South Africa women’s national football team both as a striker and a defender.
In 2008, Matlou became the first South African to be named African Women’s Footballer of the Year.
After finishing as runners-up thrice in the Women's Africa Cup of Nations, Noko Matlou finally clinched the Women's Africa Cup of Nations title with the Bayana Bayana in the 2022 edition of the tournament in Morocco, to record a successful journey in the national female team.
