Odion Ighalo Reacts To His Man United First Goal

Ex-Super Eagles striker, Odion Ighalo has scored his first goal for Manchester United on Thursday night as they thrashed Club Brugge in the Europa League.

The 30-year-old forward says it is a dream come true to finally net his first goal for Manchester United.

Ighalo joined boyhood club United last month when he sealed a five-month loan deal late on January transfer deadline day.

The Nigerian made his debut in the win against Chelsea last week before also making cameo appearances from the bench in games against Club Brugge and Watford in the last seven days.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had to cope without injured Anthony Martial for the second leg against Brugge in the Europa League on Thursday night and elected to start Ighalo for the match.

United’s victory against the Belgian champions secure their passage to the last 16 of the competition.

“Yeah, it is a great moment,” Ighalo told BT Sport.

“I have been waiting for this, played three games, though I didn't play much and no goals.

‘’A little bit of pressure, but now I got a goal to start my Manchester United goal career and it is a team I have supported since I was young, so it is very good, I am very happy and I am grateful to God.
