Ex-Super Eagles striker, Jude Odion Ighalo is now a Manchester United player – that’s no longer news!
The news now is how much the Nigerian, who completed deadline day transfer for a six-month loan deal to the English Premier League giants, will be taking home as pay?
GoalBall learnt that United will pay a third of Ighalo’s wages during his time at Old Trafford.
If you check it, you’ll see that that amounts to £100,000 a week.
Ighalo, who had just under two years left on his contract with Chinese Super League outfit Shanghai Shenhua, used to earn an astronomical £300,000-a-week.
The Red Devils will also pay Shanghai Shenhua a loan fee of between £2 million and £4 million.
Speaking on the signing, United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, said: “Odion is an experienced player. He will come in and give us an option of a different type of centre-forward for the short spell he’s staying with us.
“A great lad and very professional, he will make the most of his time here.”
As per the UK Mirror, Ighalo will go home with a mouthwatering £150,000-a-week for the remainder of this season.
Manchester United will also pay Shanghai Shenhua a £5million loan fee.
It’s understood that United will also have an option to sign Ighalo on a permanent deal at the end of his loan.
