In the latest Victor Osimhen news, the Napoli and Super Eagles striker has lashed out at the agent of his club teammate Khvicha Kvaratskhelia after being provoked by comments he made about the Nigerian forward.

Napoli have endured a difficult defense of their Serie A title, already sacking head coach Rudi Garcia to replace him with Walter Mazzarri.

However, since Mazzari took over the helm, Napoli has not fared any better as they have dropped to ninth on the league standings, 20 points behind leaders Inter Milan.

While out on international duty for Nigeria, Kvaratskhelia's agent Mamuka Jugeli has now created further tensions in what looks like a strained relationship between Osimhen and Kvara in the Napoli team following comments the agent made to Georgian journalist Tsotne Kinkladze.

Victor Osimhen news: What Kvaratskhelia's agent said

On Tuesday, Jugeli had claimed: “Osimhen will sign for a Saudi club in the summer. Kvara won’t sign for a Saudi club even if they give him €1 billion!”

“Osimhen signed a new contract, but do you really think he will spend his entire career at Napoli?

“I can already tell you he will go to Saudi Arabia next summer. Napoli have raised his salary.”

On seeing what his teammate's agent said about him, Osimhen brutally hit back at the agent’s comments angrily on his Instagram handle today (Wednesday), calling Jugeli ‘ a piece of filth and a disgrace’.

“Dear Mamuka Jugeli, you are a piece of filth and a disgrace,” Osimhem wrote.

“I’m embarrassed at your sense of reasoning. Dumbf***! KEEP MY NAME OUT OF YOUR MOUTH!!!”, Osimhen added.

The outburst from Osimhen has generated many reactions across the social media space where it has been a trending topic today.

The one time fallout with Napoli

The 24-year-old had a public fallout with the club earlier in the campaign following the release of a social media post on the club’s official handle mocking the forward for a missed penalty.

At the time, Osimhen’s agent Roberto Calenda threatened legal action against Napoli before the relationship between the player and club was resolved amicably.

Despite being linked to a number of Premier League clubs in the January transfer window, Osimhen stayed out with the Partenopei, signing a new deal last month which runs until 2026 to become the club's highest earner in history.

The Nigerian is currently with the national team where he looks to steer Jose Peseiro's side to African Cup of Nations glory.

The Super Eagles will be in action on Sunday, 14 January where Osimhen will be eager to open his goal-scoring account for Nigeria in this year's African football extravaganza.
