Following months of Victor Osimhen transfer news and speculation, his agent Roberto Calenda now looks to have finally entered contract renewal talks with Napoli.
The turning point for Osimhen's renewal was said to occur during a meeting in Madrid after the club's Champions League clash with Real Madrid on Wednesday.
According to reports from Napoli Magazine, club president Aurelio De Laurentiis had a meeting with the player's agent to finalise the details of Osimhen's contract renewal.

Contract talks had been going on for months between the club and the player's representative but no concrete agreement was reached.
However, with this Osimhen transfer news, the Napoli fans will be excited that one of their most loved players in recent times could commit long-term with the Azzurri.
It is expected that an official statement from the club will be out in the coming days that will certify the new development which has seemingly healed a long-fractured relationship.
Osimhen transfer news: Napoli values Osimhen at €200 million
The latest Osimhen transfer news has come due to months of serious interest from Premier League club Chelsea, who plans to sign the 24-year-old striker next month.
The report went on to say: “For Napoli, it is splendid news as one of the prized players is locked down. The club in fact values Osimhen's price tag at €200 million.”
With this revelation, clubs aiming to get Osimhen will have to break the bank in the coming years if the Nigerian continues to deliver the goods for Napoli.
As of now, Osimhen has a contract with Napoli till June 2025.
Victor Osimhen to start for Napoli against Inter Milan
Osimhen is expected to start from the first minute when Napoli host Inter Milan at the Estadio Diego Armando Maradona on Sunday night.
The Nigerian has netted six goals in 10 appearances for Napoli this campaign and his coach Walter Mazzarri will hope that the striker fires his side to victory later tonight.
Osimhen had been out of action for the Partenopei following a two-month injury lay-off, but he has started Napoli’s last two games from the bench after recovering from his hamstring injury.
The 24-year-old registered an assist in his club's 2-1 win last weekend but couldn’t do much as the Partenopei fell to a 4-2 defeat against Real Madrid at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu during the midweek.
Napoli is nine points behind league leader Juventus. They will have to beat Inter Milan at home to keep their hopes of defending the Scudetto alive this season.
