Remo Stars and Shooting Stars will face off for the first time in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) 2023/24 season as one of the star games of match day six.
It is the first instalment in what promises to be an incredible season and the match has been scheduled for 4 pm on Wednesday, November 1 at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne.

This South-West derby will also be available for fans to watch live via the new NPFL app.
It is still early days in the season, but the two teams have made a strong start to the campaign.
Remo Stars, who have an outstanding game against Enyimba, are placed third on the log with three wins from the four games played so far.
Meanwhile, coach Gbenga Ogunbote’s Shooting Stars are joint-top with Rangers with 10 points and have been impressive at home, winning all three games played there so far.
The last time the Oluyole Warriors were on the road, they took a point off Akwa United – a match goalkeeper Darlintin Ovunda made great stops to deny the home side from going in front.
However, the cloud over the head of Shooting Stars is their lack of a competitive win over Remo Stars and they will need to be at the top of their game to avoid a defeat in Ikenne this time around.

This is a derby match and it is coming in the early days of the new season.
