Romelu Lukaku opened the scoring for Chelsea in a two-goal win at Arsenal on Sunday on his second debut for the club as he produced a formidable performance.
The club record £97.5million signing, who did not score in 15 appearances for Chelsea in his first spell, produced a display to justify his sizable transfer fee and gave an insight into what more was to come from him this campaign.
When asked after the game to rate his first appearance back at Chelsea, the Belgian striker said: “Dominant, I would say. Dominant.
“Like I said I try to improve every time, I have a long way to go but today was good, it was good to win and to start well.”
And when asked if his second debut could have gone any better, he said: “I’m very happy with the way we played really well, we dominated, we could have scored more.
“Now we have to keep working, keep building, keep getting stronger because the Premier League is a very competitive league.
“You want to work hard for the team, you want to win, you want to score, you want to create chances.
“Something that I’ve learned that I work on really hard and I keep working on it.”
