As a follow-up to the case of Tiamiyu Kazeem AKA Kaka, a player with RemoStarsSC who passed away on Saturday during his encounter with a SARS officer, Ogun State Governor, Prince Dr Dapo Abiodun has instructed the Commissioner of Police to ensure that the culprit gets arrested & brought to book accordingly.
According to the Governors Twitter account, he wrote: ‘’As at this morning, I can confirm that the perpetrator has since been arrested, as directed by me.
‘’We will not take issues such as this lightly. Our priority is to ensure a safe and secure society. This, we shall do at all times.’
This is a commendable act, but this should be a starting point to end the menace of the police outfit in the country.
I advise putting up proactive measures to clamp down on the activities of these rogue units undermining the Nigeria Police authority
The way forward is for the Nigeria police to train all its agents to discharge their duties in a professional manner.
And this shouldn’t just be because of public uproar or because he’s a popular figure. Every citizen of Nigeria should be protected.
