He headed home to look after his mother, who was in the hospital after having a stroke.
But the forward shared an image on Instagram which shows he is keeping up fitness on the island.
In the snap, Ronaldo has his eyes closed while leaning on a wall in his gym.
And the Juventus star shows off his abs and massive arms.
The post quickly gained more than six million likes within two hours of publishing.
Accompanying the snap, Ronaldo said: “Breathe in, breathe out.
And fans were blown away by the 35-year-old’s incredible shape.
Ronaldo is into his second season with the Serie A giants, scoring 53 goals in 75 appearances.
But the club may have to let Ronaldo go as they plan for life after COVID-19’s impact.
