Kaizer Chiefs locked horns with SuperSport United in a Premier Soccer League Round 7 clash at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Wednesday evening.
Both teams were looking to bounce back to winning ways following their last disappointing outings in the league.
SuperSport however, heaped more misery on Kaizer Chiefs who have not fully convinced this season to record a massive 1-0 win at home.

Let's delve at the game's summary below:
SuperSport 1-0 Ahead at the Break
Molefi Ntseki opted to give veteran goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune his first start of the season, with Saile preferred ahead of Pule Mmodi after that disappointing scoreless draw last time out.
As if the last home draw was not enough, Chiefs began the match on a very disappointing note as Terrence Dzvukamanja reacted quicker than Sifiso Hlanti to Bradley Grobler's cross in the box to volley home with just two minutes into the game.
Chiefs, who have been far from convincing so far this season, looked for an instant reply and it almost came as Du Preez's cross met Edson Castillo whose header flashed narrowly wide off the target.
As the home side began to enjoy the match, an unfortunate injury to Ghampani Lungu in the 28th minute forced SuperSport to make a change, bringing on Bezuidenhout into the fray.
The introduction of the player almost got the Matsatsantsa side their second goal as he played a pinpoint cross off a corner that Dzvukamanja reacted to, drawing a superb save from Khune in goal for Chiefs.
The remaining minutes watered down to the break with SuperSport taking a deserved lead.
SuperSport United held on for a big win
The second half looked promising for AmaKhosi who only had thoughts of drawing level.
Pule Mmodi and Mdantsane were introduced later on as Chiefs chased for the equalizer.
The substitutes however didn't do enough to force an equalizer as Matsatsantsa held on, thwarting every danger the opposition threw at them.
As the minutes slipped away from Kaizer Chiefs, they only had to accept the inevitable of a third loss staring down their faces.
It ended with SuperSport taking all the points as the second minute goal from Terrence Dzvukamanja proved insurmountable by the hot and cold Kaizer Chiefs.
For AmaKhosi, the rebuilding continues under new coach Molefi Ntseki who has now overseen three loses for Kaizer Chiefs.
It'll be interesting to see how Chiefs react in their next game because a third loss in just the round 7 of the league spells a difficult campaign ahead of them.
