Napoli reportedly reached an agreement with Victor Osimhen on a new contract. The Super Eagles player's current contract runs until the summer of 2025, but is expected to be extended by one year.
It's important to point out that this contract extension means more money for Osimhen; as the former Wolfsburg player will earn about €10m a year. Additionally, Osimhen's release clause will be bumped up to €130m or €140m.

It's worth mentioning that the Super Eagles star won the African Player of the year award earlier this week, the first Nigerian player to do so since Kanu Nwankwo in 1999.
Roberto Calenda the mastermind behind Osimhen's contract extension
We would like to note that the contract talks would not have been possible without Osimhen's agent Roberto Calenda, as the 41 year old worked tirelessly to get the deal done.
Calenda will meet with Napoli's president Aurelio De Laurentiis later this week, with the two parties expected to agree on the final details.
Roberto Calenda became Osimhen's agent last year, after he parted ways with his brother in-law Osita Okolo. The Italian agent also represents Napoli's Juan Jesus, as well as Sampdoria's Gerard Yepes.

It may interest you to know that some clubs were keeping tabs on Victor Osimhen, including Chelsea, Juventus and both Milan clubs. The former Wolfsburg player has been in sensational form for the Partenopei since last season, leading the team in goals across all competitions. He also won the Serie A golden boot last season.
In spite of Osimhen's contract extension, some teams are expected to make a move for the Super Eagles player in the January transfer window.
