Agent Gives AWKWARD Transfer Update On Chelsea Star Willian

Chelsea Star Willian joined the Blues from Anzhi Makhachkala seven years ago and now looks set to find a new challenge ahead of next season after admitting that he won’t be extending his contract at Stamford Bridge.

The 31-year-old also said that he is keen on staying in the Premier League should he receive a suitable offer, and has subsequently been linked to Arsenal.

Willian’s agent Kia Joorabchian has been asked what the chances of that happening are, and he stated that nothing is decided.

When asked about the Brazilian’s links with a free transfer to Arsenal on talkSPORT, Joorabchian said: “We are not sure at the moment how football is going to finish in terms of the season.

“We do know that there is a vote to try to get training back on May 18, and from there on see if we can get some games back in mid-June.

“We are not sure how FIFA and the Premier League will make decisions in terms of free agents and what happens when their contracts expire.

“There will have to be a lot of conversations, it’s not just Willian but I think all free agent players are in an awkward situation because ‘do you sign a new contract, do you sign for a month or even a longer period’.

“That will be something that will play itself out closer to the time.”
