Arsenal Finally Completes Thomas Partey Transfer From Atletico Madrid

Arsenal have reportedly agreed to pay Atletico Madrid the £45million release clause of Thomas Partey.

The Ghana international has been linked with a move to the Gunners throughout the summer window.

And now it appears a deal is close to being completed.

Mikel Arteta's side were previously not willing to pay £45m for Partey and even tried to include Lucas Torreira – who is set to join Atletico on loan – in a deal.

Atletico refused to negotiate any fee lower than Partey's release clause.

And now ESPN editor David Cartlidge claims Arsenal have informed Atletico they will match the £45m asking price.
