Arsenal appear to be in pole position to land Brighton defender Ben White this summer.
However, the 23-year-old is unlikely to get the squad number he would want at the Emirates.
The Gunners currently do not have many of their most prominent numbers available.
One that is free is the No 5 shirt following the departure of Sokratis Papastathopoulos in January.
Being a central defender, and arriving for a hefty fee, White would most likely ask for that shirt upon his arrival.
The England ace wore the No 5 during his successful season on loan at Leeds for the 2019/20 campaign.
However, if that is the jersey he desires then he is set to be disappointed.
That is because Thomas Partey is ‘very likely' to switch shirts and take the No 5 from next season.
So what other numbers are available to White?
White could also have the No 20 and 23 to choose from if he does complete a move to Arsenal.
