Bet9ja Shops in Nigeria: How to Find a Genuine BetNaija Shop

The Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority keeps a public register of licensed operators. On 14 October 2026 it listed KC Gaming Networks Limited, trading as Bet9ja. The licence runs from 3 October 2026 to 2 October 2027. That company stands behind every genuine Bet9ja shop.

This page once listed shop addresses gathered in 2020. None could be checked today. They are gone.

Finding a BetNaija shop near you

We looked for an official finder first. We found none. Bet9ja's help centre has tutorials on registration, deposits, withdrawals and its Mobile Lite service, plus pages on responsible gaming and self-exclusion, yet in October 2026 it carried no shop locator, no published directory of outlets and no map of agents for punters in Lagos, Port Harcourt or anywhere else. The agent login page at the shop subdomain has no search tool either.

So most punters fall back on map apps. Goal, in a guide dated 2 October 2026, simply advises typing “Bet9ja shop near me” into Google Maps.

That works, with a caveat. Map listings come from shop owners and the public, not the operator. A signboard proves little. Look for branded terminals, printed tickets carrying a coupon or booking code and staff who can check a ticket in front of you, and if anything about the counter feels off, walk away and keep your money in your pocket.

Old Bet9ja mobile shop: what the search really means

Many readers reach this page by typing “old Bet9ja mobile shop open now near Port Harcourt” or near Ikeja. The phrase mixes two different things, and it helps to pull them apart.

The first is the website. Punters long used a separate mobile address, the “old mobile” site. When we checked on 14 October 2026, it no longer had a page of its own. It redirected to the mobile section of the main sportsbook. The help centre still keeps a set of Mobile Lite tutorials covering registration, deposits, bets and withdrawals, which suggests a lighter version for weaker connections is still part of the offer, though the operator does not describe it in detail. Bet9ja also has an app, and our guide on how to download the Bet9ja mobile app walks through it.

The second is the physical outlet. “Open now” is a Google Maps filter. Anyone typing it wants a counter to walk into tonight.

The shop subdomain belongs to that world. Its login form asks for a username, a password and a ShopCode. Beside it sit a coupon check tool and a “Become an Agent” link. This is a screen for agents, not customers.

Head office, contacts and licences

Bet9ja's general terms are in version 9, effective from 9 April 2026. They name KC Gaming Networks Limited, registered in Nigeria under RC 1035305, as the operator. Written claims go to Customer Services at Tomi's House, 9 Funsho Williams Avenue, Ojuelegba, Surulere, Lagos. The terms point to a contact form and the support team, not a general phone line. We have not repeated the numbers circulating on blogs. On its about page, the company says customer-facing operations are in Lagos and its technology centre is in Europe.

Licensing is now a state matter. Lagos and other states went to court in 2008. On 22 November 2024 the Supreme Court ruled that the National Assembly could legislate on lotteries only for the Federal Capital Territory, voiding the National Lottery Act 2005 and leaving the regulation of lotteries to the state Houses of Assembly, according to the law firm Aluko and Oyebode. Each state now regulates betting within its borders. A shop in Port Harcourt answers to a different authority from one in Surulere.

Bet9ja says it holds a Lagos licence, a sportsbook and gaming licence from the State of Osun and licences in every state where sports betting is permitted. Only the Lagos entry was checked for this update. That register files the company under online sports betting and online casino.

Becoming a Bet9ja agent

Running an outlet means signing up as an agent with the operator, not buying a signboard. Our guide to Bet9ja agent registration covers the steps. The agent portal carries the link too. Ask for written terms before paying anyone. Then check with your state's gaming regulator whether you need a permit too.

Play within limits

Betting is for adults only. Bet9ja's responsible gaming page says it is illegal for anyone under 18 to open an account. It offers daily, weekly or monthly deposit limits, a temporary self-exclusion of at least 90 days and a permanent one that the account holder cannot later ask to reverse, and it lists a problem gamblers hotline on +234 809 999 0933 and [email protected] on weekdays. A crowd around the screen does not change the odds. Set a budget before you walk in and stop when it is gone.
