Chelsea could be abandoning their search for a new goalkeeper after becoming frustrated in their attempts to sign Edouard Mendy, Mike Maignan, Gianluigi Donnarumma and Alphonse Areola.
Frank Lampard’s side could favour keeping Kepa Arrizabalaga on the books and scrap their plans to offload this summer.
The Blues coach gave Willy Caballero the No.1 shirt, despite being the age of 37.
Finding a buyer for Kepa has proved difficult with his valuation still huge after the Stamford Bridge outfit signed him for £72m from Athletic Bilbao.
They have also ran into problems signing a new goalkeeper, with the likes of Mendy, Maignan, Donnarumma and Areola all linked.
Chelsea has failed to find a price that suits them for any of them, while the door was also slammed shut on other targets Nick Pope and Dean Henderson.
And instead, the Blues have a new plan in place that would see Kepa remain at the club.
