Manchester United and Chelsea both have transfer interest in Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland.
And presently, it’s the Blues who appear to be frontrunners in the race to snap him up.
But with the Red Devils willing to pay £130million for the striker, a move to Old Trafford can’t be entirely ruled out.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have spent the majority of their transfer budget already and, with Edinson Cavani staying, Haaland isn’t a priority.
However, despite that, they’re still admirers of the Dortmund striker.
And they’re ready to go after him next summer instead when Cavani should be a free agent.
And that means Chelsea must do everything they can to secure the signing of Haaland this summer, rather than being dragged into a bidding war in a year’s time.
The Blues have already sold Olivier Giroud, while they’re also hoping to jettison Tammy Abraham in order to raise funds for the Norway international.
United, meanwhile, are ready to offload several players of their own and could listen to offers for Alex Telles, Phil Jones, Diogo Dalot, Brandon Williams, Axel Tuanzebe and Daniel James as they look to add more signings to their squad.

Speaking earlier in the year, meanwhile, Paul Scholes urged the Red Devils to sign Haaland instead of Tottenham’s Harry Kane.
