Chelsea’s Tiemoue Bakayoko Officially Joins Napoli On Loan

Tiemoue Bakayoko joining SSC Napoli on loan was confirmed today.

Current Napoli manager Gennaro Gattuso was the manager at AC Milan two years ago, when the 26-year-old midfielder spent time there as well.

They parted ways at the end of that season, Bakayoko going on loan to AS Monaco instead and Gattuso waiting a few months before replacing Carlo Ancelotti in Naples by December.

But now they’re back together, and hopefully they can pick up where they left off in Milan.

The Chelsea midfielder is in desperate need of a bot of stability in this football career after a rather poor debut campaign for the Blues followed by back-to-back-to-back loans.

Bakayoko’s loan doesn’t technically have a buy-option but Napoli are paying €5m in loan fees, which is not nothing.
