Etebo Set For Year-Long Deal With Kayserispor

Super Eagles midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo is set to spend the 2021/2022 season with Kayserispor.

Kayserispor are interested in taking the Nigerian back to the Turkish Super Lig on a temporary, year-long deal, according to Fotomac via Soccernt.ng.

The former Warri Wolves’ attacking midfielder spent last season on loan at Galatasaray after his parent club Stoke City made it clear that he was no longer a part of their plans.

Etebo’s contract with Galatasaray ended this month, with the Turkish giants deciding against making his loan deal permanent.

The 25-year-old Nigerian international returned to the Bet365 Stadium to find that much has not changed about his situation, with an increasing possibility that he would be sent on loan for at least another year.

But Kayserispor could end Etebo’s misery by taking him to the Kadir Has Stadium.

While Galatasaray finished the 2020/21 campaign as runners-up to champions Besiktas, Kayserispor did just enough to avoid relegation, finishing in 17th position of the 21-team Turkish elite league.
