Five Arsenal Shirt Numbers Ben White Could Wear After Joining Gunners

What Shirt number will Ben White wear when he joins Premier League side, Arsenal, this summer?

The Gunners have a variety of shirt numbers they could offer the Brighton defender as they have reportedly returned with an improved offer to sign White.

Arsenal are claimed to have had a £40million bid rejected by the Seagulls for the centre-back.

Brighton are thought to want around £50m for White's signature.

Here is a look at the shirt numbers available to the 23-year-old England international, according to Express Sport.

Arsenal Shirt Numbers Available To Ben White

Number 5

He wore the No 5 during his time at Leeds and it is the most sensible option for a defender that is currently available at Arsenal.

Sokratis Papastathopoulos's departure in January led to the shirt being vacated.

Number 2

Hector Bellerin currently wears the No 2 but he is heavily linked with a move away from the club.

White has worn the number before during his days in the Brighton under-23 side, so it could potentially be an option.

Number 20

A host of defenders have worn the No 20 jersey during their Arsenal careers, but not all with a great deal of success.

Shkodran Mustafi vacated the shirt in January, with the likes of Johan Djourou, Philippe Senderos and Matthew Upson having worn it before him.

White may want to pick a number which has a better history.

There are thin pickings for White other than the numbers mentioned above.

The 23 and 26 shirts are available before it gets above 30, but more may become free once Arteta sells some players this summer.
